1 2 3 Stitch

1 2 3 Stitch

One of the most confusing aspects of learning needle is to decipher the many points that are available. If you are working from a kit, general problem, not that ta. Each kit will specify points to be used and where. However, if you are creating your own project from scratch, where do you go for help? In href = "http://www.stitchopedia.com" target = "_blank"> embroidery www.stitchopedia.com points are separated by type and each point is explained and demonstrated. The following is a breakdown types of items available:

Cross stitch is probably the most popular type of stitch used today. Cross Stitches are a principal point used in the tapestry needle. They are exactly what the name implies - points that are created by crossing the threads over each other. The size of cross stitch can vary, depending wire thickness and width of the fabric. It is important, however, to ensure that each cross stitch covers the canvas. Examples of crossing points are the cross stitch (obviously), knitted herringbone, knitted herringbone, waffle point. There are, however, many, many more ...

Straight Stitches, again, are exactly what the name implies - straight stitches! These points are worked either vertically or horizontally on canvas. They look best when worked on canvas. Are the ideal spot to work large pieces of fabric. However, do not create a point that is too long. Some of the straight stitches are the most popular long stitch (aka straight stitch), Florentine Stitch (aka Bargello) and the point back.

Diagonal Stitches are points that are worked, yes, you guessed it, diagonally (diagonal). It is especially important to maintain a tension, even when working points on the diagonal. This will help prevent strain on canvas. Some of the diagonal stitches most popular include: the diagonal stitch (you probably saw that one coming), the point of Basketweave (aka tent stitch) and the continental point. Again, there are many, many more points available diagonally.

Sticking points composites are using more than one type of stitch. Points compounds are generally large. Because of this, the thread does not always cover the canvas completely. To help remedy this situation, try not to pull the yarn too tight when making the points. Some stitches compounds include star stitch (also known as the point of view of Algeria), leaf spot and triangle stitch, and many more.

Loop Stitches are also called "Pile Stitches ". All these stitches create a texture with a 3-D. The surface of the cell is created by the bonds listed in stitches. Some issues remain with the ties intact, some require loops be cut. Although loop stitches are generally used in the carpet-making, but also can be used in any needlepoint project that requires a 3-D or "lots " look. Some of the loop stitches most interesting are the loop point, the point of shell (a very interesting point) and point of velvet. Again, there are many more available.

These are the main types points available today. The final decision on which stitches to incorporate into his work depends on the width of the material, material that is working and the type of yarn / thread you are working. However, we can talk about it another time ...
