Looking for something easy to make Christmas ornaments or some easy crafts for children for the holiday season? Then try these ornaments painted swirl. These ornaments make an excellent project for almost any age group. Learn how this simple technique of dry paint becomes little stickers cling to their ball ornament. Once you know how you or your children could easily become an ordinary ball ornaments in a beautiful work of art!

Supply List:

- Shiny ball ornament
- Enamel (dollar store)
- Acrylic paint (several colors)
- Brush
- Mod Podge sealer (regular or frost)

Important Note: You must use a shiny ball ornament, because a ball mate not cling. His "palette" (the board) must have an enamel finish for your paint adequate dry will hold. Check out your local dollar store for a cheap glass plate. Also on wax paper or a plastic surface does not give the hold enough paint.

Instructions:

1. Decide on paint colors to use. Its decoration is completed covered with individual means of painting. So you must decide on a color scheme for your ornament before you start. We recommend two colors in each circle and two or three sets several of these colors. An example would be red with gold swirled in a circle of green paint and then swirled with gold for another cycle of painting.

2. In your plate, squirt out some paint (the size of a large pea) for each color in your circle. Be sure to put the finishing touches of paint to each circle very close to each other.

3. Swirl the touches of paint, along with the end (no bristles) of his brush. It takes very little mixture to achieve a beautiful swirl design. Also mix a lot and you just get a new color! Make each circle of paint the size of a quarter. To cover a ball decoration standard size, to between 30 and 35 circles.

4. Once you have completed all their circles of paint, dry it for at least 12 hours. They must be completely dry before removing them from the board.

5. Now, carefully dry skin paint circle on his plate. If you have along the edges their circles who do not like, can be easily cut with scissors. Start by placing your circles around the neck of the ornament and work your way towards down from there. Press each as fully adheres to its ornament, and unwrinkled. Continue to peel the circles of your plate at once. Make sure each circle is pressed firmly into ornament and there are no gaps between the circles. Only each circle overlapping slightly to avoid cracks. Continue until the ornament is completely covered in circles.

6. Paint a layer of Mod Podge sealer over the whole. Then hang to dry for at least 24 hours.

You could be so creative with this technique. Maybe try stripes or a zig-zag. Have fun with this project and see what great looking designs can a!
