As times change, so does art. A new generation of street art was born as a result of huge technological boom we've seen. Digital art, a new, non-destructive form of street art is affecting the world by storm. What began as a group of LED's prints to magnets soon became something more. A group that bears the name "Graffiti Research Lab has taken digital art to the next level.
Using high-end projectors, cameras photography, custom software, and laser pointers, they have developed a system that is capable of allowing the artist to paint the light, with tall buildings as their canvas. The camera follows the high-powered laser pointer as the artist who moves through the building. The software then fills in the path of the laser pointer with a kind digital painting is projected onto the building. The effect achieved by this is as if the artist was actually using an airbrush to paint the building. This art can be shown in front of countless people, and has been used along motorways and in dense urban areas.
The truly revolutionary this system of is that artists are able to show their art to a huge audience, without any damage to the buildings they are using to display. Using the new technologies, these street artists have found a way to get your art in a totally harmless.
