What kind of art that are displayed and color would be best for a portfolio of tattoo?

I'm working on my art portfolio to become a tattoo artist and I know it would be good to include the combination of colors, so they know they can work well with the color too. I've never used anything besides of crayons or colored pencils (I hate) I just called and when I was a kid and was a touch of color with crayons or something that looked like it would ruin entire drawing. What kind would be really good for a portfolio of tattoo for an apprenticeship? as water colors, I paint, airbrush, etc.? want to be able to make an artist's apprentice angel me. any advice is welcome:) Also, here is a drawing I made not long ago (so you can get a rough idea what I do) is a reference, but is NOT crawl (My Kinda scanner took a bit of quality though) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v260/Exicutioner13/skull. jpg

Imposing skull! Nothing to show diversity would be great. I guess they will seek talented, detail etc but a lot of color. And his personality are also counted. You'll have to fit atmosphere of the store, make sure you are familiar with it. Good luck! I would add a lot of pieces of various sizes and types ... and ... portrait, horror, Print the script, banners, flowers, etc. Make sure you get the point that is willing to work hard.
