Looking for ideas for Christmas decorations each year? Try to rack your brain for some ideas for some Christmas tree crafts, or for gifts?
This year, why not try to make some trees for recycling denim? They can become treasured memories and have a style rustic but artistic flare to them. They also make great gifts for friends or grandparents.
This is how you do:
Finding a pair of smooth but worn jeans, and draws two circles on them (the widest part of the leg works best). (using a lid from a jar or any size you want works)
Sew the circles together with 1 / 2 inch seam, but leave a little space for stuffing your jeans ornament.
Clip the seams per 1 / 4 inch or less, make a fringe with sharp scissors.
Make a few and then wash them and then throw in the dryer, this will create white soft strip diffuse, for that rustic effect.
Things your ornament denim with polyester stuffing or something soft, and then sew the opening closed with a piece of string decorative to hang on the tree.
Now the fun part, decorating.
Depending on the age of their children, leaving the decorating supplies. These can be glitter, rhinestones, embroidery, fabric paint, padding .. Whatever you want. Denim does a great canvas. Bordon looks great here too.
If you start with these ornaments, denim now, then your children or yourself, you have the time to let their artistic talents shine before all the festivities begin. I've seen these completely covered with bright beads and really shine with any Christmas lights.
