Counted Cross Stitch Patterns

Tapestry needles or knitting needles are blunt-pointed cross so they can pass between the wires. Another feature is the great eye to hold many threads of silk. They come in different thick. You can find different sizes of needles for many aspects of the tissues. The cross-stitch needles are the smallest size - 24, 26, 28.
Needles discolor and eventually hands on the brand and the web so you do not remember to leave the needle in the fabric. There are various grades of nickel. Gold needles are best, since no discolor. However, they are more expensive.
Different sizes below for Aida and tissues evenweave:
Needle size 18: 6 count Aida fabric
Needle size 20: 8 count Aida fabric
Needle size 22: 11 count Aida fabric and have evenweave 22-25-27
Needle size 24: Aida fabric 14 evenweave count and 28 count
Needle size 26: 16 of 32 evenweave count Aida fabric and counting and counting with 22 Hardanger
Needle size 28: 18 count Aida fabric and have evenweave 36-55
If you are not sure what needle size to choose for your fabric, do this little test. The needle should be sufficiently small to pass through the fabric easily, but should require some pressure to push through.
Tip: If you are sewn with French knots, using a sewing needle. This is a fine sharp needle will help ensure that the knots in the weave of the fabric. The embroidery needle has an eye more small tapestry needle.
