Why are my double stitches while knitting a scarf?

my scarf has doubled in width and have not added any stitches, but I started with seventeen years and now have about twice that. I have not done anything except point to point with a point - Luxury nothing. I used the same needles all the time and the points are the same tightness. i can not solve - this happens in almost everything that point. maintaining the same width for a while and then side begins to escalate out, while the other remains straight. help!

You are probably unaware of yarning. Watch carefully as a period. The first time I have seen an extra point, look at your point. You will notice the yarnovers.
