With the renewed interest in crochet, caused by its use in fashion ready to wear, and the evergreen interest in something old, vintage or nostalgic - with more often seen in the phenomenon of patchwork quilting - has also come a growing interest in crochet, in general, and the production of carpets, shawls, blankets, style called 'Granny Square Crochet.

This much-loved style of crochet is probably why most universally recognized crochet worldwide. Its popularity is due to the facts that is made of points, so quick and easy, which is small, portable, fast, and use slices yarn leftover from other projects.
